Upcoming Events

The Northern New England Chapter is in the planning stages of various “Thank You” Events throughout the region.  The purpose of the events is to bring people together that have been involved in the chapter to recognize our achievements in 2015 as well as share our plans for 2016.

Our first event will be for our New Hampshire Constituents and will be held at the Red River Theatre on Saturday, December 12.  This is a great opportunity to meet all of the New Hampshire staff as we report out on our achievements as it relates to The Walk To Defeat ALS, Research, Legislation as well as our plans for 2016!

In addition to the New Hampshire event, our goal is to hold Vermont before the end of the year and Bangor and Portland will be held early next year.  Each event will include a short film and appetizers for all to enjoy.

Stay Tuned - More details to come for all of our Thank You Events!!!

Annual Events

Each year, The ALS Association Northern New England Chapter holds several fundraising events to raise awareness and funds that help provide invaluable services to people living with ALS.

From the Walk to Defeat ALSTM, auctions and social gatherings, to third party events such as the Carl Johnson 5K Ski-A-Thon at Great Glen Trails in NH, The Maine Games/Bruce Churchill Classic Volleyball Tournament in ME and the Spartan Race in VT, The ALS Association depends on each event to raise funds and increase awareness. These funds are vital to cutting-edge research and our patient service programs. Come join the fun and help make a difference!

Third Party Events

At the Northern New England Chapter, we have been privileged to be the beneficiaries of numerous third party events.  We categorize an event as such whenever an individual or group does one with minimal assistance from the chapter’s staff.  These events provide a strong source of revenue and awareness for our chapter and we appreciate the hard work that our volunteers do to make them happen.  Since we have a very small staff, third party events are critical for our chapter’s success.  If you have an idea for a third party event, please give serious thought to making it happen!
