Thank you for "visiting" my personal page for our Bangor Walk to Defeat ALS. My husband, George Miller, died on January 31, 2014, after battling ALS for more than nine years.
It is a difficult diagnosis to hear. George's breathing, swallowing and speech were affected at the beginning. He was able to pull himself onto the tractor and feed his beautiful cattle until days before his death. He never quit and he never complained. He led the way with grace and good humor.
We want to raise awareness of this disease and funds for research so that going forward others will not have to hear this diagnosis.
Please make a commitment to help us raise funds and walk with us on 24 August by joining our "Fighting for Farmer George" team, or by making a donation to my walk. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. Ask your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to join us!
