We lost Lori to ALS when she was only 50 years old. She left behind countless family and friends who loved her for her kindness, her intelligence, and her humor. I cannot think of a single person Lori knew that she did not like...and there was not a single person who didn't like Lori. She was irreplaceable. I loved her because she was the sister I never had. We understood each other. I know that I will never again have a "BFF" like Lori, and I miss her every day.

ALS strikes people young and old, and that is only a part of the cruelty of this disease. It is not a kind or gentle disease. But Lori handled ALS with grace, as she did everything. On Lori's last birthday, 2 months before she died, our group of Lori's oldest friends promised that we would remember her every year, as a team, through "the Walk". We may not raise the most money or have the biggest team, but we remember Lori.
