About the Spartan Race

Please visit the website to get more information about what the Spartan Race is about. Participants and Volunteers will need to download and sign this WAIVER and bring with you to the Spartan Race. 

Start Time

Participants in the Spartan Racers to Conquer ALS will be assigned a start heat by Spartan Race organizers (not The ALS Association). Racers and volunteers must be signed up by September 1st.

Racer Support

There will be a tent which all Spartan Racers to Conquer ALS will gather and store their things. The tent may be unoccupied at times. Please be sure to bring your own pre-race and during race nutrition and water. 

Coaching

Heidi Smith of South Burlington, VT and the driving force behind this Spartan Race opportunity!

People in the Burlington, VT area can sign up for our group training sessions.
The group training sessions will include:

Weather

The Spartan Racers to Conquer ALS goes on, rain or shine! Please check the local forecast before the race. We will do our best to keep all participants in the know. The race takes place on Killington Ski Resort: this is a higher elevation and it could be cooler there than in the valley.  Please be prepared with appropriate attire.

  • Sunglasses or other protective eyewear
  • Warm layer(s) - this takes place on a mountain
  • Close fitting backpack/ hydration pack recommended
  • Water
  • Sunscreen and lip balm
  • Running shoes
